Under the Fire Safety Order 2005 The owner/occupier/employer (responsible person) is required to carry out a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment of their premises for the safety of all persons legally allowed into—or—on their premises.

The Fire Safety Order applies to virtually all premises and covers nearly every type of structure and open space.

For example:

Offices, Shops, Factories, Warehouses, Hospitals, Residential Care, Nursing Homes, Hotels, B&B's, Hostels, Common areas in multi-occupied flats, Houses in multiple occupation, Community Halls, Public Houses, Clubs, Restaurants, Tents, Marquees, Schools, Colleges and Universities.

The new regulation consolidates all previous fire safety legislation—emphasising fire prevention by means of fire risk assessment.

If your business has up to 4 persons employed—a fire risk assessment still has to be completed for your premises, however, it does not have to be recorded.

If your business has 5 or more persons employed then the findings of your fire risk assessment has to be recorded.

With our knowledge of fire safety, prevention and protection we can carry out a fire risk assessment offering effective solutions without compromising safety. This could include alternative fire safety standards contained within various codes and technical guidance documents.

We are an independent company which is not governed by any contractors, suppliers or installers, therefore, we will always give unbiased advice on all aspects of fire safety.

It won't cost you an arm and a leg!

Firesafe has three cost effective fire risk assessment packages available which will remove the burden placed upon your business:
